IT Manager, Programmer, Lecturers, Auditor, Cartographer Positions, University of Peshawar



Applications are invited from Pakistani citizens on prescribed forms available from the Reception Counter OR http://www.uop.edu.pk/jobs/?q=downloads, University of Peshawar, for the following positions:

1. Manager IT (BPS-19)  (One) (Permanent) Centre for IT Services

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science / IT / Electronics from an HEC recognized University / Institution with 10 years relevant experience OR M.S / M.Phil degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics from an HEC recognized University / Institution with 13 years relevant experience.

2. Lecturers (BPS-18) (Permanent), Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies

i.           Anthropology / Sociology / Social Work  (One)
ii.         International Relations / Political Science (One)
iii.       Psychology / Philsophy (One)
iv.        Gender Studies / English Literature (One)            
Qualifications:
First Class Master's Degree (B-Grade) OR Second Class Master’s Degree with M.Phil or equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career, from an HEC recognized University / Institution, provided that in the subject of English, candidates having M.A. 2nd Division shall be eligible to apply.
            Provided further that the candidate holding higher degrees viz. M.Phil / Ph.D. or equivalent degree but with only one 3rd division in the entire academic career shall also be eligible.
Provided further that benefit of higher degrees viz. M.Phil/Ph.D. or equivalent degree shall not be allowed to the candidates who are eligible on the basis of higher qualification.

3. Internal Auditor / Audit Officer (BPS-18) (One)

Qualifications:
First Class M.Com./MBA or equivalent qualification with 6 years experience in BPS-17 in the relevant field OR Second Class M.Com. / MBA / or equivalent qualification with 10 years experience in BPS-17 in the relevant field. OR Chartered Accountant/ Cost and Management Accountant with 06 years experience in the relevant filed.
Note: The term of office of the Internal Auditor shall be three years renewable from time to time.

4. Assistant Audit Officer (BPS-17) (One) (Permanent)

Qualifications:
First Class M.Com./MBA or equivalent qualification OR Second Class M.Com. / MBA / or equivalent qualification with 05 years experience in BPS-16 in the relevant field. OR Chartered Accountant / Cost and Management Accountant.

5. Cartographer (BPS-16) (One) (Permanent), Centre for Disaster Preparedness & Management Age Limit: 18-30 years

       Qualifications:
M.Sc. in Geography in at least 2nd division from a recognized University or Bachelor Degree with Geography in at least 2nd division from a recognized University and three years experience in the relevant field.

6. Junior Programmer (One) (Contract) (Fixed Pay:Rs.19866/- PM), Institute of Peace & Conflict Studies Age Limit: 18-30 years

 Qualifications:
      M.Sc. Computer Science / BCS / BIT (16 years of education) in at least 2nd division. Experienced persons will be given preference.

7. Senior Auditor (BPS-16) (One) (Permanent) Age Limit: 18-30 years

          Qualifications:
      First Class B.Com/BBA or equivalent qualification OR Second Class B.Com / BBA or equivalent qualification with 03 years experience in BPS-11 or above in the relevant field.

8. Junior Auditor (BPS-11) (One) (Permanent) Age Limit: 18-30 years

          Qualifications:
      First Class D.Com/DBA or equivalent qualification with typing speed of at least 30 wpm.
Candidates are required to submit their application forms along with photocopies of complete documents duly attested i.e. one recent passport size photograph, National Identity Card (NADRA), Educational Testimonials, Domicile and Experience / Service Certificates etc. with a Bank receipt / draft (non-refundable)(National Bank of Pakistan, University Campus Branch) of Rs.600/- for S.No.1-4 and Rs.400 for remaining positions in favour of the Treasurer, University of Peshawar and should reach the Meetings Section on or before 10th November, 2015
In-service candidates should apply through proper channel. They must submit No Objection Certificate (s)from their concerned departments/institutions along with the application forms. Incomplete applications and those received after due date will not be entertained.

Applications, on prescribed Form, appended with the prospectus, obtainable on cash payment of Rs. 1000/- from UBL Counter at the Department of Geology, University of Peshawar (0ff Road # 2) from 06.10.2015 for admission to Postgraduate, Master (2-year), LLB (3-year) and M.Com (2 year) degree programmes are invited, for which essential details are as under:

Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Economics with Statistics or Maths-A.

3.
Gender Studies
Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A in one of the following subjects: Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Urdu Advanced, English (Elective), International Relations.
4.
International Relations
Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of IR.
2nd priority: 2nd class BA with at least 45% marks in one of the following subjects, Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Journalism, Sociology, Philosophy, Law, History & Geography.

Journalism & Mass Communication
Eligibility:  1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Journalism.
2nd  priority: At least 45% marks in BA
6.
Library Science
Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc or equivalent.
Note: Candidates qualifying any UAT Test Type are also eligible
7.
LLB
Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Law. However a candidate will not be entitled to any preference or benefits of the subject of Law if acquired as an “additional subject” after passing B.A.

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A as well as in the subject of Political Science.

Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Computer Science + Maths A, however, 45% marks in subject of Computer Science is mandatory.
2.
Physics
Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with Maths A + Physics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Physics is mandatory.
3.
Mathematics
Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with Maths A + maths B, however, 45% marks in the subject of Maths B is mandatory.

Electronics
Eligibility: 1st priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with subjects of Electronics and any other two subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences.
2nd priority: At least 45% marks in B.Sc with any combination of 3 subjects from Numerical & Physical Sciences.

Statistics
Eligibility: At least 45% marks in B.A/B.Sc with maths A + Statistics, however, 45% marks in the subject of Statistics is mandatory.   Note: Candidates qualifying any UAT Test Type are also eligible.

  • Domicile Certificate (attested copy).

  • Applicants applying against quota seats must attach relevant documents in support of his/her eligibility.
  • Graduates of the session 2014 and 2015 will be given 1st priority, while the others will be given 2nd priority in the merit list.
  • Applicants are advised to obtain Registration Form for Entry Test available at Facilitation Counter, in Department of Geology, University of Peshawar w.e.f. 06/10/2015 to 20/10/2015 on payment of Rs. 450/-.
  • Applicant must be careful in selecting the correct category of test prescribed for admission to the deptt/subject.
  • An applicant desirous of appearing in more than one Test must register separately.
  •  
  • Details regarding the Admission, Entry Test, Sample Test and instructions for candidates are made available on university website www.uop.edu.pk and NTS website www.nts.org.pk.
 Important:
  • Passing marks in the Entry Test is 40%. Failed students shall not be eligible for admission.
  • University of Peshawar will not offer Evening Shift Programme in the following departments: English, International Relations, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Environmental Sciences, Centre for Disaster Preparedness & Management, Chemical Sciences.
  • Form received by mail or after 20.10.2015 will not be entertained.
  • The University reserves the right to make changes in any programme when deemed necessary.
