2016 Iran Higher Education Scholarships for Afghan and Pakistani Nationals
Renowned as a cradle of science and knowledge,
Ancient Persia produced many great minds who contributed significantly
to the fields of medicine, technology, mathematics, chemistry, physics
and astronomy. This rich legacy of scholarship continues in the higher
learning institutions of modern-day Iran.
In support of UNESCO’s efforts to promote the
transformative power of education as a catalyst for human development,
the Islamic Republic of Iran intends to leverage its strong reputation
for higher education and research in the region.
The Iran Higher Education Scholarships for Afghan and Pakistani Nationals
is a new initiative that demonstrates the Islamic Republic of Iran’s
commitment to foster stronger ties with its regional neighbors and play a
role in their socioeconomic progress through higher education.
Funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Iran Higher Education Scholarships for Afghan and Pakistani Nationals
are competitive scholarships that support high-achieving individuals to
undertake studies at the Bachelor’s, Masters and PhD levels in Iran’s
outstanding universities.
